Summer Floral

I've been making a set of mini journals for flee market on July 4, 2020. I also have to do my design team project for Artsytamper Challenge Blog. We are doing a collaboration with Arty Divas. First, I painted the cover with acrylic yellow and red. Then I made sort of a collage piece of several sets of Artsystamper's. I glued onto the cover some burlap to add some texture.

Old Hollywood Junk Journal

After about a month of work. 9 1/4 inches by 6 3/4 inches. I tried to stick with an Old Hollywood theme through out the entire journal. There is stamping, ruffles, lace and fabric. Inside the front is an old grease cd that was unusable into a pocket. 24 different pages of pockets, belly bands, envelopes, and tuck spots total. I have it in my shop My Hope Craft Shop.

Untied Nations Altered Playing Card

I used a playing card as a base again. I used the top half of the telephone napkin that has Big Ben and the British flag. I also found a Untied Nations Stamp that seemed like it was begging to be put on this piece. I love this piece even if it is on the more simpler side.

Celebration Altered Playing Cards

With the 4th of July coming up and being so busy. I had an Etsy order I purchased about a month ago come in and with napkins. I had some stamps and old pattern paper that was yellowed. I also bought lace from Ali Express a long time ago when I first started crafting before I knew what they do with peoples art on Etsy reproducing it.

Vintage Storage Boxes

I was given the idea by my aunt who said "why not make them boxes you get from Amazon into something useful." I came up with the same idea as I used for the shoe boxes. I used scrapbooking paper to cover the box. I covered all the edges with coffee dyed cloth. The top one I used the coffee dyed cloth on the bottom. The bottom one I added coffee dyed paper for the bottom. Both have some of my handmade paper in the inside bottom start.

Alana

I just got some Alcohol inks and decided to play with it. I used old packaging 6 inches by 4 inches added texture with stencils. I painted some liquid white gesso then sprayed it with water. I added the alcohol inks of turquoise, dark blue, and pink. Then I looked at some butterflies. I colored in Alana and glued her to a big butterfly to make her look like she has wings.

Vintage Advertise Pocket

I grabbed a black piece of cardstock and glued a piece of Parkers advertisement onto the cardstock. I thought it looked too plain. I added some sheer white fabric to the right side. I glued a tiny picture of a girl holding an umbrella.

A Sense of Drama Tuck

I used a scrap piece of hanging file folder. I had music advertisement light scrapbooking paper as a background over top of the scrap piece. Then I glued and cut the words "A Heightened Sense of Drama" onto pieces of plaid scrap scrapbooking paper. I found a gray label and stamped a key stamp I got from Micheals in a plastic jar in 2017. I glued the label first then the words down.

Vacation

I did this for my ArtsyStamper Design Team Project. I love going to Black River Falls, WI. My kids love picking flowers. I also enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. I decoupaged and gesso a piece of cardboard on a frame. Then added some texture with some texture paste and finger painted some acrylic paint to make a background. I glued some white fabric that I got garage saleing in Black River Falls, WI. I printed out some Artsystamper Sunflowers from her Sunny Sunflower Digital Kit onto photo paper.

I saw this pretty picture of a lady sitting on velvet stairs. I added a piece of paper to the back of it.  I glued a cut off piece of ruffle I made into a tiny pocket. I cut a little piece of scrap paper. I thought a tiny scrap piece in a tiny pocket would be a cute touch.

Beautiful Vintage Girls Tag

Yes, this is another umbrella piece. I couldn't stand having the two girls split apart. It reminded me of how my 2 kids look alot alike but are totally different or polar opposites from each other. So I glued the picture down on coffee dyed paper. I added a bit of lace. Then I knew I needed to something small to it. I finally decided onto a tea tag piece.

Purple Mini Journal

I spent alot of time outside today. It made me feel inspired to make another mini journal. There were lots of blooming lilacs around which is rather late in the season this year. So I found cute purple scrapbooking paper (Blue Fern Studios)  and built off it. I did a video of how I made this piece. I also decided to add it to my mini journal collection. I will be selling at flea market as small items during 4th of July weekend. I have been trying to get done with alot of my flea market stuff done. I spent most of my day coffee dying outside.

Floral Dream Tag

I took a piece of the hanging file folder. I glued a thin piece of wallpaper I used for my cover Floral Bunny Mini Journal. I added a piece of floral blue fabric. I stamped a small rose with Archival Ink as background to create depth. I stamped "Hope all your Dreams come true" and glued it on top of the floral blue fabric. I then cut the corners of the tag and used the hole punch. I found a blue piece of yarn on the desk and used it as a tag topper.

In the Garden Card

I wanted to make a journaling card that would be cohesive with the Floral Bunny Mini Journal I made. So I took a used old book page as a base. I used an old piece of paper that was blank on one side and reused it for journaling space. I glued a piece of the wallpaper I used on the cover onto it. I stamped one of the stamps I used for decorating the papers. It is a gate with flowers on it. I am unsure how old the stamp is but I do know it is unmarked and I bought it from Escanaba, MI Goodwill in 2017. Most of my stamps have been sitting in a storage unit since 2018. Then I stapled a piece of blue fabric to make a tab.

Black & White with 1 color

At first I wasn't sure what to do for ArtsyStamper Design Team Project June 1st: Black & White
with 1 Color. I spotted a picture of my great grandparents holding hands on July 4, 1941 on a carnival ride. I thought it would look so cute with a flower and seniment from ArtsyStampers digital kits. I used AsterGarden Digital Stamp Set for the flower and Field Flower Silhouettes Digital Stamp Set. I put them together on open office draw and made it the size I want it to be 3 inch by 5 inch. I found some decorative wallpaper and cut it in 6 inches by 12 inches. I knew it was too big but after I glued my picture to the wallpaper I ruler ripped it to size. I used a decorative cord.
