Floral Bunny Mini Journal

I made the cover with wallpaper and hanging file folder. Then I added a belly band and pocket with the leftover wallpaper. I found papers for the inside. I glued on the bunny board picture and some lace. I decorated the inside cover and pages with different stamps. I made a journaling card and tag. I am thinking about using the yarn I used with the tag to wrap around the journal as a closure.

I added a tea bag tag to make as a focal point.  I cut the corners to make it into a tag. I punched a hole punch into the top middle of the paper. I added a strip of floral fabric into the hole. I put paper bag on the back and added small tea cup stamp to the back.

Lets Have Tea

I loved making this journaling card for my 3 in 30 challenge letter T. Today is my oldest birthday. I was very busy but she did give me sometime to work on my crafting. I did collage on old book page. I used an opened up tea bag and glued it over the collage. Then I stamped my big tea set stamp on it. I added some scrapbooking paper and 2 pieces of tea bag tags onto the left upper corner. I put a piece of brown paper bag onto the back and stamped my small tea cup onto it. Then I used alittle bit bigger tea bag tags for a tab on the top of the journaling card.

Old Camera Creation

This is a piece I made last summer. I took apart an old camera and some random pieces from a bag full of random stuff. I glued with hot glue the pieces down on the corners where I thought the pieces would look nice. Then I gesso the whole thing white and used blue, green, purple, and brown watercolor. I also used Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress Ink Dabber.
The reason I am showing this past make is I was alittle busy playing catch up from the weekend. We had a Birthday celebration Friday into Saturday. Then on Sunday I had to catch up on homework assignment for my Intro. to Marketing class and make a 3 story dollhouse. The dollhouse took 2 people 4 hours both reading the directions.

Vintage Weekend Journalette

I used half a file folder and folded it into thirds. I stenciled the file folder with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. Then went over it with a light violet color. I used a decorative scrap pieces of a paper bag to decorate the cover, make a pocket, and fold some pieces to create some writing space. I make a small 3 piece waterfall pad with a index card, thick piece of paper and some copy paper. I folded up a scrap piece of of file folder into thirds and glued a square doily. Then added some index from a address book. I clipped the file folder and 2 papers onto the big file folder with a big paper clip. The next page is a piece of copy paper I folded in half the long way held with the same paper clip. Then I added the rest of the vintage ephemera I bought in a pack on Etsy. I also used leftover doily and an vintage playing card to decorate the pad in the middle. Very last I added an eyelet and some gold ribbon to create a closure. I am thinking about adding it to my Etsy Shop but unsure. So please comment what you think?

Yellow Sunshine Journal

I made the cover with some yellow tissue paper and some random scraps from my scrap drawer. Then put in 3 eyelets to make a closure and a spot to put the tassel. I connected a garment pin with laces and coffee dyed piece of fabric. I filled the pages with pink paper, crochet book papers, children illustrated papers, ledger paper, bridge score paper, and coffee dyed paper. Each page is a different kind of paper. Some of the papers are folded to flip open and some folded into pockets. I made a few pieces of ephemera recently and some I made awhile ago.I also added more pockets to the journal. I tried to keep to the yellow them. I also had a page from a old photo album and put some extras like yellow lace and yellow coffee dyed strip of fabric. This will be in my Etsy Shop My Hope Creations.

Staggered Scrap Mini Journal

I have been watching some of Roxy Creations 100 day challenge and decided to make my own take on the staggered mini journals she had made. I also decided with needing to use up some scraps. So I used a file folder and folded in pockets. I folded 9 pieces of scrap paper to make it staggered. Then I glued scraps onto the cover and the pockets. I also used distress ink and a stencil to create a pattern on the back and inside cover to cover the blank space.  I sewn around the cover to secure the pockets. I lastly sewn the scraps onto the cover to make the mini journal.

Old Children's Book Page Banner

I am trying to use up a bunch of pre-made stuff that got mixed up with random places in my craft areas. I found this old children's book page banner undercoated and looking boring for a junk journal. I decided to add more to the banner give the banner more interest. I added a purple piece of scrap paper, paper doily, 2 homemade postage stamps, and a regular postage stamp. I glued the banner to some blank old book page and cut it out. The last thing I did was distress it.

Flower Vintage Pocket

I made an old book page into a pocket awhile ago. I didn't decorate it, so I did today. First I spotted a ticket in my scrap Drawer and some half cut out flowers. I colleged them on the front of the pocket and added an old postage stamp as a focal point. Then for a finishing Touch I distressed the pocket with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Altered Pretty Pink Book Cover

I first put brown ribbon and pink lace on the spine. I spotted a napkin with pretty birds and a flower that I thought would work perfect with the color of the cover. It took me a few days to figure out what else that was needed on it. Then last night I looked at the brown ribbon and pink lace and decided to put that on the cover too. Lastly, I put on two pieces of coffee dyed fabric on the book to create a closure.

Coffee Junk Journalette

I have been working on this one for a couple weeks on and off. Couldn't figure out what exactly I wanted to do with but then it clicked using some brads, packaging and old frayed ribbon I found to make a closer. Then I used Coffee Break Paper Pack made by Artsystamper.  I sewn some of the ledger looking papers to the cover and attached my closer. I folded two pieces in half and sewn them to make them thicker copy paper. I ripped the rest of them in half, and stapled together. I glued lace and the pad to the middle section. I glued the two pieces. I had sewn onto the front section and added some ephemera pieces to the pockets. This is in My Hope Creations.

Victorian Lady Altered Index Card

I wanted to make sure some of the writing still show when decorated. I choose the victorian lady because I saw the winter writing and thought that fits. It was a 3 in 30 letter challenge so I had to add ribbon to it. So I added ripped ribbon around her and double knotted a left over piece. I glued a small strip of a brighter pink ribbon then glued on the double knotted piece.
