I found some empty frosting containers at a garage sale. So I decided to let the kids go to town one gluing pieces of magazine and old book page. I after they were done, I ripped some magazine with roses on a page. Then I used black permanent marker to outline the roses. I glued down a piece of seam from a pair of jeans onto the rim of the cap. I added red fabric flowers and buttons to the top of the cap.
I folded and glued old book page in half. Then I decoupaged dark colorful napkin onto the book page. I added green tree washi tape an inch from the top and bottom. I adhered the Wizard of Oz book cover picture. On the bottom left side of the picture I added a scrap piece of coffee dyed paper and a red 2 cent postage stamp.
I fold and adhered a book page into fourths and bent one corner to form a pocket. I glued a colorful floral napkin onto the bottom left corner. I put a floral washi sticker on the right top inside corner. I took a scrap piece of bridge coffee dyed paper and cut it in half. I added a small blue flower and a postage stamp of a shoe to embellish.
I sewn old book page into a tag shape. I adhered some lace and a picture of Dorthy, the Tin Man and Scarecrow. Then I added some lace and a cute button onto the right hand side of the picture. I stapled that lace as a topper.
I sewn and folded an old book page into a quad pocket. I used some green tree washi tape and some leaves/ flowers washi tape to make a background on the pocket. Then I added some random embellishment a newspaper receipt from 1968 and a butterfly postage stamp.
I glued and distressed this double coin pocket. I made a long skinny tag with some old book page and rose fabric ribbon. I glued a Wizard of Oz picture and collaged the front. I am currently working on a Wizard of Oz themed junk journal as a custom order.
